I accept been working here for about a month now and today was one of my off days. I didn't even realize that I got a call until it was as well belatedly. They did not go out a voice mail though. What practise you retrieve they wanted and volition it reflect poorly on me at present?

Your store probably called looking to come across if you were available to fill in a call out. Information technology volition not look bad. They can't expect you to hover over your phone 24/7.

Missing calls won't get you in trouble simply if it'southward for covering callins could put you lot lower down on the list of people to telephone call.

Really the only reason they can call you is to come up in and fill a shift. They don't fire over the telephone.
As Hour I don't want to bother you. Just tell me you don't want to work and I'll leave y'all alone.

Really the only reason they can telephone call y'all is to come in and fill a shift. They don't burn over the phone.
As 60 minutes I don't want to carp you. Just tell me you don't desire to piece of work and I'll leave you solitary.
It'southward not personal, I simply hate talking on the telephone.

If you option upwards (or at least recollect), you lot're viewed more favorably even if you say 'no'.
At my store, that puts you on the 'A list' when hours are given out & preferences in scheduling are noted.

I missed a call this morning by twenty minutes, was still sleeping and telephone on silent. I called back about a half hr later after I woke upwardly a scrap and talked to Hr. She said they were looking for someone to come in (I'grand a Flexible Fulfillment TM) but already plant someone else. She thanked me for calling back. The flu is going effectually my store and I got chosen in yesterday to work. Would gladly pick up virtually days since this is my only task and they schedule less than 20 hours a calendar week right at present. Next time I'm keeping my phone on vibrate and so I tin hear the calls.
